I'm Still Sewing!

Hello my sewing family!  Yes, I'm still around and have been doing some sewing. (Mostly sewing challenges).  My mood for sewing diminished for a little while because we lost one of our dear friends to a heart attack.  Sewing was the last thing on my mind at that time.  However, I've been slowly getting back into my routine and wanted to share a few of the items I did make during my time away from my blog.  I used this sewing as my therapy after the lost of a very good friend!

So I hope you enjoy this brief review of the items I made and please stop back soon to see what's coming up next!

Closet Case Ginger Jean (lowrise)- White Stretch Cotton Twill (I really don't care for this fabric because it's "see thru"!); My favorite pattern and now my TNT for jeans!

McCalls 7603 (view C)  Rayon Challis, Red & white flowers on black background  - ok, but not a favorite.

McCalls 6886  (Pattern Hack!) ITY Knit, multi print Fushia, Blue and Off White  - I like the dress and may make again.

Style Arc Cindy Jean Jacket  White denim - love this jacket and will make again in a different color!

I missed taking to you all and until next time,

Happy Sewing!

    2. I have yet to make a pair of jeans although I have taken plenty time to fit muslins successfully. I just got so burnout on the process that I had nothing left energy wise to start again with the final versions. Hehe.

    3. I remember when you made your Muslin and did all that work on it! You should go ahead and make those jeans, don't let all that hard work go to waste!

That first top, the colors in it are very good on you. I'm sorry it's just OK and your impression, maybe you don't like the fit? I think it's really cute on you.

    1. Thank you so much Andrea! The fit is good on me..,It's just that I am not use to wearing large flower prints on my body, LOL! I've tried a few fabrics like that and they end up sitting in my closet not a part of my regular rotation!

BTW...yes the sewing mojo is alive and well for a change and hope it stays that way for a while!

    1. Thank you so much Valeria! Unfortunately, I don't have any leftovers of that black print fabric. I'm trying to incorporate more prints in my wardrobe. Typically, I shy away from prints especially bold prints! Even with this print top, I had a problem excepting the way it looks on me, LOL!

If Sewing is your passion, you should never let anything get in your way! I am praying for you to find time to just sit and sew, I know for me it is so totally relaxing! Good luck!
